Institutional Client
Institutional clients are deemed to possess knowledge and experience comparable to that of financial services providers. Institutional Clients include banks, insurance companies and other financial intermediaries subject to prudential supervision in Switzerland or abroad.
Possibility for opting-in: Institutional Clients may choose to sign up as Professional Clients.
Professional Client
Professional clients are deemed to possess sufficient knowledge and experience to take investment decisions in full knowledge of the nature and extent of the associated risks, and be able to bear the financial consequences of those decisions. They are granted limited protection. Among Professional Clients are large companies or companies with professional treasury operations.
Possibility for opting-in: Professional Clients may choose to sign up as Private Clients.
Possibility for opting-out: Swiss or foreign collective investment schemes or their management companies, without prudential supervision, may choose to sign up as Institutional Clients. Companies and occupational pension schemes and institutions whose purpose is to service occupational pensions may choose to sign up as Institutional Clients provided they have professional treasury operations.
Private Client
Private Clients are clients who are neither Professional Clients, nor Institutional Clients. They are given the highest protection, but are subject to stricter information requirements and have limited access to certain financial instruments and services.
Possibility for opting-out: High net worth clients or private investment structures created for high net worth clients without professional treasury operations may choose to sign up as Professional Clients if:
- The client or private investment structure
- owns assets of at least CHF 500,000 and
- possesses the necessary knowledge to understand the risks associated with financial investments
or
- The client or private investment structure owns assets of at least CHF 2 million.
These amounts do not include assets such as real estate, social security claims or pension fund assets.

- Asset management company : Overall standard of corporate governance, reputation
- Commitment : Asset managers seeking to build a long-term trusted presence in Switzerland
Distribution
Anchor is an authorised third-party fund distributor in Switzerland. We actively distribute liquid fund strategies, and raise capital for alternative investment managers.
Our Fund Portal also selectively showcases funds for which we have conducted due diligence and have evaluated internally but do not promote on a proactive basis.

We review our investment offering on a regular basis, provide frequent updates on all investments made and remain available to address any queries or concerns at all times.
Due Diligence & Regulatory Framework
Anchor conducts a thorough due diligence process before actively recommending any fund in person or passively showcasing it on our portal.
We also ensure that all funds introduced to our clients adhere to local regulatory requirements.
